The LBPSB’s Week of Inclusion & Achievement

As we reach the end of another school year, I would like to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who helps make our schools and centres such vibrant places to learn, grow, and thrive. One of the strengths of our school board is the sense of community that is developed through daily interactions and strengthened by our collective mission. Your contribution to our school board matters!

LaSalle Elementary Senior is excited to be part of Stick Together, a project funded through the Government of Canada’s Community Sport for All Initiative (CSAI). The program aims to remove barriers to participation and provide more opportunities for young people to experience the benefits of sport through field hockey.

For the past 10 years, music has brought the St. Edmund Elementary School community together in a unique and unforgettable way. This June, the Beaconsfield school marked a major milestone as students, families, staff, alumni, and community members gathered for the 10th anniversary of EdStock, the school’s beloved annual outdoor music celebration.

Beurling and LBPSB’s SSD grabbed two prizes at the recent QESBA award ceremony.

For graduating Lakeside Academy student Mirakle Roberts, a passion that began with a camera and a creative curiosity has grown into a clear vision for the future.

Last month, representatives from LEARN (Leading English Education and Resource Network) and Community Development Agents (CDAs) from the Western Quebec School Board held a professional development day with one of the LBPSB’s very own CDAs, Simone Viger of the Verdun Community Learning Centre (CLC) in Verdun.

History has been made as LaSalle Community Comprehensive High School Wolves girls’ basketball team captured the school’s first-ever provincial basketball championship.

Following his recent selection for the AMI-Quebec Extra Mile Award, Lakeside Academy teacher Kyle Rougeau officially received his honour during the organization’s Annual General Meeting. Surrounded by fellow advocates on June 9th, the Lester B. Pearson School Board educator reflected on the power of community in supporting youth mental health.

Three decades of supporting students, families, and school communities were celebrated recently as current and former members of the Family School Support and Treatment Team (FSSTT) gathered to mark the program’s 30th anniversary.

On June 5, members of the English RAC (Recognition of Acquired Competencies) community from across Quebec came together for the annual English Network Event (ENE)—a day filled with learning, meaningful conversations, and a shared commitment to supporting candidates on their journey.

Friends, family, and colleagues recently gathered to celebrate Gina Clemenza’s retirement. Gina has worked for the Lester B. Pearson School Board since its inception in 1998 following the merger of the confessional boards, and for the Baldwin Cartier School Board before that.
