To ensure members of the Lester B. Pearson School Board community remain up-to-date regarding what transpires at regular Council of Commissioners meetings, the Department of Communications and Community Development sends out summaries of the different decisions that are taken following each meeting.

Staffing updates
• Matthew Kennedy has been appointed Coordinator of Continuing Education, effective July 1, 2026.
• Four vocational education teachers will not be re-engaged due to a personnel surplus, effective July 1, 2026.
• Administrative staffing assignments for schools and centres for the 2026-2027 school year are outlined in the table on page 2. These assignments will take effect on July 1, 2026.

Facilities update
• The contract for Lakeside Academy: Project #2512, parking lot expansion and schoolyard improvement works, was awarded to the lowest compliant bidder Mécanique Mobile L’Éclair Inc. doing business as Excavation M. Leclerc in accordance with the tender documents for the amount of $825,415 (before taxes).

School calendar update
• The Youth Sector School Calendar for the 2027-2028 school year was adopted.
• The Continuing Education Calendar for the 2027-2028 school year was adopted.

Other updates
• In accordance with section 434.5 of the Education Act, the Lester B. Pearson School Board call upon the Comité de gestion de la taxe scolaire de l’Île de Montréal to allocate the maximum amount for financing the School Board’s local needs; and a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Comité de gestion de la taxe scolaire de l’Île de Montréal.
• The Council of Commissioners approved the Lester B. Pearson School Board's participation in the Comité de gestion de la taxe scolaire de l’île de Montréal Group Purchasing Plan for the 2027-2028 school year for supplies.
• By-law 1 and 1E (2026) - Day, Time and Place of Council of Commissioners and Executive Committee Meetings 2026-2027 were adopted effective May 25, 2026.
