To ensure members of the Lester B. Pearson School Board community remain up-to-date regarding what transpires at regular Council of Commissioners meetings, the Department of Communications and Community Development sends out summaries of the different decisions that are taken following each meeting.

ADMINISTRATIVE APPOINTMENTS

1. The Council of Commissioners approved that Jason Cantelmi be appointed Assistant Director of Innovation and Technology Services of the Lester B. Pearson School Board (Permanent Probationary Status), effective November 13, 2023.

2. The Council of Commissioners approved that Isabella Guglielmi be appointed Coordinator of Human Resources of the Lester B. Pearson School Board (Permanent Probationary Status), effective January 1, 2024.

OTHER ADMINISTRATIVE DECISIONS

3. The Council of Commissioners approved that the document entitled “Régime de gestion des risques du Comité de gestion de la taxe scolaire de l’île de Montréal” be approved and that the Lester B. Pearson School Board’s participation in the Risk Management Plan, as amended, be confirmed.

4. The Council of Commissioners approved that effective October 30, 2023, Parent Commissioner L. Dalterio be added as a member of the Executive Committee of the Lester B. Pearson School Board until the end of the term of office of the Executive Committee members on November 3, 2024.

5. The Council of Commissioners approved that the document entitled Council Committees Membership Chart, dated October 30, 2023, be adopted; and that said chart be posted on the Council of Commissioners webpage.

6. The Council of Commissioners approved that the Director General of the School Board be authorized to sign the agreement between the LBPSB and each of the following schools: Montreal Oral School for the Deaf, Yaldei School, Summit School, and Peter Hall School for, and on behalf, of the Lester B. Pearson School Board.

7. The Council of Commissioners approved the contract for Place Cartier Adult Centre: Project #2111-EG, replacement of electrical entrance, fire panel, intercom, ceilings, exterior doors, lights and roof basin, staff bathroom renovations, and the addition of air conditioning and ventilation be awarded to the lowest compliant bidder 9160-5188 Québec Inc. doing business as Hulix Construction in accordance with the tender documents.

8. The Council of Commissioners approved that the contract for replacement filters (Project #FINA2023-6) for the period of November 1, 2023 to October 31, 2024 be awarded, in accordance with the tender documents, to the lowest compliant bidder, Novexco Inc. and that approval be given for a maximum amount of $200,000 before taxes

9. The Council of Commissioners approved that authorization be given that a sports protocol be signed with the Fédération de la voile du Québec Limitée and their mandatary Club de Voile Deux-Montagnes.
