Chuck Poirier Remembered at Monument Unveiling

On August 30th, friends, family and loved ones of the late Charles “Chuck” Poirier attended an unveiling of a monument in his honour.
Mr. Poirier was a former University Football Coach with McGill, an Educator and Principal at several Lester B. Pearson School Board schools and an official at the university level and with the Montreal Alouettes. He passed away in August 2020 at the age of 69.
The field is located behind St. John Fisher Parish in Pointe Claire and is used by residents of several West Island municipalities.
The plaque reads:

In recognition of all his years of dedication to the Lester B. Pearson School Board as teacher, principal, coach, mentor and to his family, may this field bearing Chuck’s name serve as a lasting tribute to his passion and
the positive impact he had on countless students.
His memories live on in the stories of victories, the echoes of cheers,
and the spirit of the game he loved so dearly.
