Birchwood Raises Funds for Wildlife

Through the month of March, grade 3 students and their teachers took part in a meaningful fundraising project to support the World Wildlife Fund.
The results were inspiring. Through creativity, teamwork, and determination, and with the guidance of their teachers Mme. Kassy and Mme. Stephanie, students raised an impressive $1,303 for wildlife conservation.
As part of this Universal Design for Learning (UDL) project, students explored multiple ways to contribute and share their message. They designed and created handmade pins, produced eye-catching posters, and even filmed a promotional video to encourage donations within the school community. Some students took their initiative even further by spreading awareness and collecting donations in their neighbourhoods.
This project allowed students to take real action for a cause they care deeply about while developing communication, collaboration, and entrepreneurship skills. Most importantly, it showed them that their efforts can make a concrete and positive difference in the world.
“J’aime le projet WWF parce que toute l’école a aidé,” said one grade 3 student. We are incredibly proud of their initiative, compassion, and dedication to helping protect wildlife.

So proud of my friends of grade 3 from Birchwood who worked so harder and poured their love into this project. Their teacher had more than enough love to guide them.
