Looking back. Looking forward.

Needless to say, this past academic year has had many challenges, both positive and difficult. This fall has also included ups and downs, in particular for anyone dealing with and navigating contract negotiations with the Quebec government and for families who have been grappling with managing transportation and bridge crossing interruptions. Yet, student success and the hard work across the Board to be inclusive and kind while optimizing learning is something we can all be proud of. Our Annual Report, on our Agenda this evening, highlights various aspects of this past year’s operations and accomplishments, while our Commitment to Success Plan maps out our intentions for the coming months. The Lester B. Pearson School Board is flourishing and is in very good hands. Thank you to the Council of Commissioners for your work; thank you to Dr. Cindy Finn for your leadership throughout 2023.

With a few weeks of holiday just around the corner as we wrap up 2023 and ring in 2024, I would like to wish our community a celebration of love, joy, hope and peace.
