Council Summary December 2025

To ensure members of the Lester B. Pearson School Board community remain up-to-date regarding what transpires at regular Council of Commissioners meetings, the Department of Communications and Community Development sends out summaries of the different decisions that are taken following each meeting.

- The Council of Commissioners approved that Ashley O’Grady be appointed Assistant Director at PACC – Adult, probationary status, effective January 13, 2026.
- The Council of Commissioners approved that they receive the Financial Statements of the Lester B. Pearson School Board for the year ending June 30, 2025, as audited by the external auditors MNP, S.E.N.C.R.L. / LLP.
- The Council of Commissioners approved that the consultation document entitled Budget Consultation Plan 2026-2027 be distributed to the consultative partners of the Lester B. Pearson School Board during the week of January 5, 2026, for the community to provide input on the allocation of subsidies, school tax proceeds and other revenues of the School Board, with responses to be returned to the Secretariat no later than March 27, 2026.
- The Council of Commissioners approved that the Lester Pearson School Board request to the ministère de l’Éducation du Québec a permanent authorization to provide the Refrigeration Program number 5886.
- The Council of Commissioners approved that Commissioners Marilyne Boyer and Maureen Baron represent the Lester Pearson School Board at the Canadian Association for the Practical Study of Law in Education conference to be held in Montreal April 26 to 28, 2026.
The Council of Commissioners approved that Commissioners Sara Hossaini and Tracey-Ann Curtis represent the Lester B. Pearson School Board at the virtual annual conference of the Learning Disabilities Institute from March 18 to 20, 2026.
