To all LBPSB employees,

As we mark Staff Appreciation Week, I want to express my sincere gratitude to every member of our school board community working in our schools, centres and departments.

Each day, our system is brought to life through your dedication, professionalism, and care. Whether you work directly with students in classrooms and schools, support learning through specialized services, promote safe and welcoming environments, or contribute through administrative, technical, or leadership roles, your work matters. You matter! Teachers, educators, support staff, caretakers, professionals, managers, and administrators all play an essential role in creating the conditions that allow students to learn, grow, and thrive.

Your efforts extend far beyond job descriptions and daily tasks. They shine through in your patience, your problem-solving, your teamwork, and your unwavering commitment to our community. The strength of our school board does not lie in its structures and programs, but emanates from the people who show up every day and act with care, resilience, and a shared sense of purpose.

Research demonstrates the importance of living a life that is filled with deep connection and purpose. Working in education may present us with many challenges, but we are also offered the possibility to contribute to a noble public good – helping students grow and flourish. Your contributions, both visible and behind the scenes, have a lasting impact on students, families, and colleagues alike.

Weeks like these are intended to recognize you and thank you for making such a positive difference. I am deeply appreciative of the collective effort, collaboration, and compassion that define our organization.

Thank you for your professional contributions and for the pride you take in serving our school board community. It is a privilege to work alongside such a dedicated and committed team.

With deep appreciation,
