The Dynasty Continues: Saint John Fisher Senior Shines Again in CBC Music Class Challenge
by Marilyn Santucci
Saint John Fisher Senior has once again proven its musical excellence, earning an impressive second-place finish in the CBC Music Class Challenge. This achievement is particularly remarkable given a new rule preventing previous winners from claiming first place for three consecutive years.
Over the competition’s 10-year history, the SJF Senior Music Department has placed in the Top Ten an astonishing nine times, including five Top Three finishes and three first-place wins, cementing its reputation as a powerhouse in school music programs.
Congratulations to Mr. David Arless and the Deep Music Instrumental Group for securing second place in the Junior Instrumental category, and a huge round of applause to their Grade 3 students, who achieved a Top Ten placement while competing against 80 schools in Category 1: Elementary Performance.
At Saint John Fisher Senior, music runs deep! 🎶

St. Patrick’s Day Parade
We’re thrilled to share that the St. John Fisher Sr. Elementary School Band will be performing live on our float during this year’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade!
Celebrated every year since 1824, this iconic parade is one of the oldest in the world and the largest outside of New York. Cheer for us on March 22, in downtown Montreal, with the parade starting at the corner of Fort and De Maisonneuve streets.
Don’t miss the music, and the fun!
