GRBA Fundraises for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Throughout the month, staff and students at Gordon Robertson Beauty Academy (GRBA) are rolling up their sleeves and getting to work, running fundraisers, and participating in events to help raise funds for breast cancer research and treatment.
Date Night – Get pampered while raising funds for breast cancer research!
On Wednesday, October 11, the public is invited to GRBA for a very special evening. Whether you bring a friend, a date, or treat yourself, you can get pampered while contributing to a worthy cause by attending Date Night. Attendees will get a hair treatment, blow dry, and pedicure. There will also be refreshments and raffles.
Cost: $50 per person or $90 per couple.

On October 23, GRBA students are going to assist with the 8th annual Raise Craze which will be held at the Glen site of the MUHC. Students will be shaving the heads of those who raised money for the worthy cause. Funds raised will support the MUHC Breast Clinic’s Wellness Program.
Then on October 27 students will be on hand at the Gala doing touch-ups for hair and makeup for gala attendees.
Along with these exciting events, students and staff are holding weekly fundraisers throughout the month of October. All proceeds from the October fundraisers and Date Night will go towards Pink in the City, which is partnering with the MUHC foundation.
