Lakeside’s Holiday Photo Event Shines Bright

Lakeside Academy was truly ready for their close-ups this December! What began as a thoughtful Home and School initiative quickly grew into a beautiful example of what can happen when community partners and dedicated staff come together with generosity, creativity, and heart.

This holiday season, Lakeside Academy had the privilege of offering families a special opportunity to create a cherished keepsake in a professional quality holiday photo they could treasure for years to come. The idea was simple: bring the magic of a holiday photo shoot right into the school, making it accessible, convenient, and meaningful for every family who wished to take part.

The project was made possible through a generous and collaborative effort involving several key partners. First and foremost, Tina Wentzell of Kreative Memories Photography, whose kindness set the tone for the entire initiative. Tina donated high-end professional photography materials helping to transform a simple space at Lakeside Academy into a festive mini-studio. Her contribution ensured that every family walked away with a photo that captured the spirit of the season with warmth and professionalism.

Second highlight is the incredible dedication of Lakeside’s very own FSSTT team member, Tim Parsons, who volunteered his time and remarkable talent behind the camera. Tim’s patience and an eye for detail helped families feel comfortable and excited, no matter their age or experience with being photographed. His presence reminded us of the tremendous skill and generosity that exists right within the school walls.

For a small donation to the Home and School, funds that will directly support future student initiatives, Lakeside families, big and small, stepped in front of the lens, shared laughs, adjusted scarves and squeezed in tight for group shots.

Most importantly, the initiative reminded us of what makes Lakeside Academy so special: the ability to come together, to support one another, and to create moments that strengthen a sense of belonging. Events like this go beyond photos, they build community, connection, and Lakeside pride.
