Light-A-Dream to Host Pickleball Tournament
by Pearson News Staff
Join us in supporting Light-A-Dream at John Rennie High School on February 15th for an exciting pickleball tournament fundraiser!
This event is organized by Light-A-Dream, a non-profit dedicated to providing work placement opportunities for students with intellectual disabilities and/or autism. The organization operates a boutique at 63B Donegani Street, Pointe-Claire, where young adults in their program create and sell handmade candles.
Affiliated with the Lester B. Pearson School Board, Light-A-Dream’s students gain valuable work experience through their school’s work placement program. At the boutique, these students take on various responsibilities, including candle-making, inventory management, cleaning, and cashier duties.
The pickleball tournament will feature members of the Light-A-Dream program, and all proceeds will directly support the charity’s services and programs.
Come out, show your support, and cheer on the players for a great cause!
