Nutrition Month 2025

Nutrition Month at the LBPSB

by Marilyn Santucci

March was Nutrition Month! This year, the LBPSB Nutrition Month theme was all about nourishing your body—mentally, physically, and emotionally!

Making thoughtful choices about what to eat and drink plays a crucial role in maintaining good health. Nutrition impacts our physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The nutrients in various foods help boost energy levels, support red blood cell production, and build muscle strength, while also influencing mood and emotions.

Community Cookbook

This year, we’re excited to invite students, teachers, and staff to contribute to the inaugural edition of our LBPSB recipe book, “Flavors of LBPSB: A Taste of Our Community”. This cookbook will celebrate the rich diversity within our community, showcasing new ingredients, cooking techniques, and cultural food traditions.

“March is Nutrition Month, a time to recognize the impact of healthy lifestyle choices. This year’s theme, Nourish to Flourish, highlights the connection between nutrition and overall well-being. Healthy habits, informed food choices, and shared meals foster lasting traditions. The LBPSB recipe book will unite the community through diverse culinary experiences. Let’s celebrate the power of food to bring people together,” says Miranda Greco, dietician at the LBPSB.
