PETES Community Smashes Terry Fox Goal

PETES Community Smashes Terry Fox Goal!

by Pearson News Staff

The PETES community once again showed its incredible spirit and generosity during this year’s Terry Fox campaign. With a fundraising goal of $8,000, students, staff, and families went above and beyond, raising an outstanding $10,621 in support of cancer research!

Throughout the week of October 27, the school was buzzing with energy and enthusiasm. Leading the charge, Principal Mr. Allan Fink combined enthusiasm for Terry Fox Run fundraising with Halloween spirit by dressing up in a new costume every day, chosen by the school’s students, adding plenty of laughter and excitement to the cause.

Allan Fink as: a Barbie girl; a princess; six-seven; a ballerina/fairy; a baby; and a unicorn.

For every $1,000 raised above the goal, Mr. Fink agreed to add another costume day, joined by the Phys. Ed teachers!

“The power of a school is measured by the strength of its community,” said Mr. Fink. “And the PETES community rocks!”

Together, PETES proved that when a community comes together with purpose, creativity, and heart, there’s no limit to what can be achieved.
