Springdale Elementary School Students Create Holiday Cards for the Office of Brigitte Garceau, MNA for Robert-Baldwin

Grade 5 and Grade 6 students at Springdale Elementary School demonstrated their creativity and community spirit by creating a collection of holiday cards for the constituency office of Quebec MNA Brigitte B. Garceau. The handmade cards showcased a wide range of artistic styles and themes, including winter landscapes, festive scenes, and other seasonal designs, each reflecting the students’ imagination and attention to detail. The project was spearheaded by Elana Agulnik, a teacher at Springdale.
“I wish to express my sincere appreciation to all students who participated in this initiative. Their dedication and enthusiasm are reflected in each card. These creations exemplify the spirit of the Springdale Elementary School community, and I am exceedingly proud of the talent they have demonstrated,” stated Madame Garceau.
Originally, only one card was to be selected for official use. However, impressed by the quality and creativity of the submissions, Madame Garceau found the decision too difficult and ultimately selected four winning designs. The chosen cards were created by students Zanaya Robertson, Aarna Sharma, Chase Sun, and Harseerat Kaur.
The winners were announced during a special visit from Madame Garceau to Springdale Elementary School. During her visit, she personally thanked the students for their participation and commended them for the creativity, effort, and care they put into their holiday card designs. The visit provided students with a meaningful opportunity to see how their artwork could have an impact beyond the classroom.
“We are grateful to Madame Garceau’s office for leading this holiday card initiative. This collaboration provides our students with a valuable opportunity to showcase their creativity and share their artistic abilities,” said Springdale Principal Brian Swirsky.
