Student Spotlight: Kassie Tsilimidos
by Marilyn Santucci
At Place Cartier, student Kassie Tsilimidos shows that resilience and creativity go hand in hand.
A passionate artist and longtime ringette goalie, Kassie has faced challenges including autism, anxiety, PTSD, and hospital stays. Through it all, her service dog Sally has been a constant companion.
Art has been central to her healing. From painting sessions to creating stickers, greeting cards, and murals alongside Art Specialist Beverly Ann Landry, Kassie is turning her creativity into something that inspires her school community.
For Kassie, art is more than a hobby — it’s a source of calm, focus, and hope, proving that creativity can light the way forward.
