Welcome to the 2026-2027 School Year!

by Cindy Finn
As we begin a new school year, there is a special energy across our schools and centres. Classrooms are coming to life, colleagues are reconnecting, and our students are returning with new hopes, questions, and possibilities.

The start of a school year is always an opportunity for a fresh beginning. It is a time to set new goals, build new relationships and look ahead to what we can accomplish together. At the heart of all that we do is a shared commitment to ensuring that every student feels welcomed, supported, and inspired to learn and grow.

This year, we will continue to build on the many strengths of our school community. Our success is made possible by the dedication of our teachers, support staff, professionals, administrators, and all those who work behind the scenes each day to create positive learning environments for our students.

To our staff: thank you for the care, expertise, and commitment you bring to your work. Your impact extends far beyond the classroom.

To our students: we are so happy to welcome you back. Whether you are beginning a new chapter or returning to familiar surroundings, remember that every day offers an opportunity to learn something new, discover your strengths and contribute to your community.

And to our families: thank you for the trust you place in us and for the important role you play in supporting our students. Education is a shared endeavour, and our strongest communities are those in which we work together.

As we look toward the year ahead, let us embrace the opportunities before us with curiosity, compassion, and a spirit of collaboration. Together, we can continue to create schools where every student can belong, achieve and thrive.

On behalf of the entire school board, I wish everyone a wonderful start to the 2026–2027 school year. May it be a year filled with learning, connection, discovery, and many moments of pride.
