Your Vocation, Your Future: The Power of Vocational Education

The provincial “Your Vocation Your Training” campaign officially launched on October 8 in Sherbrooke during the annual PROCEDE conference, shining a spotlight on the opportunities, hands-on learning experiences, and rewarding career paths available through English-language vocational education across Québec.
Made possible through $292,560 in funding from the governments of Québec and Canada during the 2024–2025 and 2025–2026 school years, the campaign features real stories from vocational learners and graduates, highlighting how practical training and industry-recognized skills can open doors to meaningful careers in high-demand fields.
At the launch event, attendees had the opportunity to view a selection of campaign videos showcasing real-world vocational paths, hands-on learning experiences, and high-demand industries seeking skilled professionals. The screening also featured personal stories from campaign participants, who shared how vocational education helped shape their career journeys.
“These video capsules highlight the important role that vocational training programs play in Quebec. Vocational training programs equip learners with practical skills, industry experience, and recognized credentials that lead directly to employment in a variety of fields. This talent pipeline is vital to meeting larger societal needs. Our vocational training sector contributes to the building of stronger communities, and we are proud of our graduates as well as our staff who prepare them for a bilingual future,” said Cindy Finn, Director General of Lester B.
